UV-INDUCED REVERSION OF ADENOVIRUS 5ts2 INFECTING HUMAN CELLS
Photochemistry and Photobiology, 1981Abstract— Among the progeny produced by UV‐irradiated adenovirus 5ts2 when infecting either A498 (human kidney tumor) or CRL1187 (normal human fibroblast) strains at 32° C were a certain number (UV–fluence dependent) of revertants able to grow at 39° C.

Adenovirus Colitis in Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection
The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1998Adenovirus infection of the gastrointestinal tract in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients is rarely reported, probably because of a lack of familiarity of most pathologists with diagnostic criteria during routine light microscopy and possible misidentification as cytomegalovirus infection.

Metabolomic profiling reveals new insights into human adenovirus type 7 infection
Microbial Pathogenesis, 2023Human adenovirus type 7 (HAdV-7) is a prominent pathogen that causes severe pneumonia in children in China. However, the interaction between HAdV-7 infection and host metabolism is still poorly understood. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the metabolic interplay between host cells and the virus, we analysed the energy and lipid metabolism ...

Adenovirus Infections in Humans
1984Adenoviruses are ubiquitous agents that infect humans of all ages. The discovery of the first adenovirus types three decades ago paved the way for countless studies that continue to uncover additional viral strains and ever expand our comprehension of their significance to man.

[Infectivity of Human Adenovirus Type 55 to Human Intestinal Cells].
Sichuan da xue xue bao. Yi xue ban = Journal of Sichuan University. Medical science edition, 2021To examine the infectivity of human adenovirus type 55 (HAdV-55) in human intestinal cells.Caco-2 cells were cultured in vitro, and infected with HAdV-3, 7, 14 and 55. The expression of viral proteins in infected cells was detected with immunofluorescence method.

Persistent infection of human adenovirus type 5 in human monocyte cell lines
Virology, 1992Adenovirus infection of human monocyte hybridoma cell lines and the fusion partner U937 was investigated. Adenovirus adsorbed poorly to these cells as well as primary human alveolar macrophages. The virus-binding experiments showed a 100-fold reduction in apparent viral binding to these cells compared to the permissive HeLa cells.

Enhanced Growth of Human Embryonic Cells Infected with Adenovirus 12
Science, 1966Fibroblast-like cells from human embryonic lung were infected with adenovirus type 12, and they survived as an established line, with the characteristics of "transformation" following considerable cellular killing. Inclusion bodies disappeared and cells became resistant to reinfection with type 12 virus as they grew in thick multilayered strands, and ...

Comparison of enteric Adenovirus infection in various human cell lines
Journal of Virological Methods, 1988Growth of the fastidious enteric adenoviruses 40 and 41 was compared in different human cell lines. Purified virions were used to infect the following cell lines: A549; KB; Chang's conjunctiva; 293; HeLa. Both types of enteric adenovirus were infectious for each cell line, with the exception of adenovirus 40 in HeLa cells.

Human adenovirus infection in phytohaemagglutinin treated mice.
Acta microbiologica Hungarica, 1984The course of infection by human adenovirus type 12 has been studied in mice treated with phytohaemagglutinin (PHA) 1 day after infection or those infected with the virus 3 days after PHA treatment. Virus antigens were demonstrated by immunofluorescence in the cells of the thymus, spleen and lymph nodes and in some cases the supernatant of the cell ...

AbstractIntroductionHuman adenovirus (HAdV) infection can cause substantial morbidity in kidney transplant (KT) recipients. Cell‐mediated immunity plays an important role in controlling HAdV infection after KT.MethodsWe prospectively (January 2015 to June 2018) investigated the absolute lymphocyte count (ALC) and interferon‐γ‐producing CD4+ and CD8 + T
