Tensile bond strength of dentin adhesives

Dental Materials, 1986
Abstract The tensile bond strength to human dentin was studied for four dentin adhesives, Dentin-Adhesit (Vivadent), Dentin Bonding Agent (Johnson & Johnson) Gluma (Bayer) and Scotchbond (3M). The tensile tests gave bond strength values between 0.4 and 4.9 MPa after 24 h storage in water at 37°C. Dentin-Adhesit had the highest values.

[Adhesive strength studies of biologic tissue adhesives].

Zeitschrift fur experimentelle Chirurgie, Transplantation, und kunstliche Organe : Organ der Sektion Experimentelle Chirurgie der Gesellschaft fur Chirurgie der DDR, 1986
Different tissue adhesives including an own fibrin adhesive on the base of the human plasma fraction Cohn I were investigated in relation to their adhesive strength tension. These investigations were carried out on lyophilised skin grafts in vitro.

Bond strength of six dentinal adhesives

Journal of Dentistry, 1994
This study compared the shear bond strengths on dentine of five dentine adhesives against Scotchbond 2 as a control. Dentine specimens from 225 extracted human permanent molar teeth were used in a matched-pair design, such that 45 tooth sides were treated along with the matching control for each of the five test materials.

Adhesion Strength of Human Ligament Fibroblasts

Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, 1994
The adhesive interactions of cells with other cells and the extracellular matrix (ECM) play a fundamental role in the organization of cells in differentiated organs, cell motility, and the healing process. The adhesion characteristics of ligament fibroblasts depend on the expression of cell surface molecules and their interaction with the ECM. Although

Bond strength of three orthodontic adhesives

American Journal of Orthodontics, 1981
A method was devised to study the bond strength of direct-bonding orthodontic adhesives. A shear load was applied parallel to the tooth-adhesive-bracket interface by means of an Instron Universal Testing Machine. The bond strength was found to increase for some products after 27 days.

Quantitative Analyses of Cell Adhesion Strength

2007
Biochemical and mechanical analyses of integrin-mediated cell adhesion have been limited by the inability to apply controlled detachment forces and the inherent complexities of the adhesive process, including cell spreading, integrin clustering, cytoskeletal interactions, and non-uniformly distributed focal complexes.
