Combs, Fast and Slow: Non‐Adiabatic Mean‐Field Theory of Active Cavities

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A unified mean‐field theory is developed that describes active cavities with dynamics of any speed, whether they be fast, slow, or anything in between. By creating an operator‐based framework that makes no adiabatic approximation, this approach delivers more efficient simulations and new analytical insights for a wide range of integrated combs, such as

Integrated Flat‐Top Beam Shaper Using Subwavelength Engineered Critical Guiding

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
An integrated flat‐top beam shaper is demonstrated. Subwavelength gratings are utilized to realize the critical guiding of light. The monolithic integrated design provides a scalable solution for high uniformity on‐chip flat‐top beam generation, potential for high‐performance imaging and metrology photonic system.

The Decisive Role of Confinement in Enhancing or Suppressing Self‐Nucleation in Polyethylene‐Containing Block Copolymers

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, EarlyView.
The self‐nucleation behavior of crystallizable blocks confined in block copolymer microdomains strongly depends on the degree of confinement. With increasing confinement (from AB to ABA to ABC‐type block copolymers), melt memory and self‐nucleation disappear, i.e., the self‐nucleation Domain (Domain II) is not visible in self‐nucleation studies by ...

Global and microlocal aspects of Dirac operators: Propagators and Hadamard states

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
Abstract We propose a geometric approach to construct the Cauchy evolution operator for the Lorentzian Dirac operator on Cauchy‐compact globally hyperbolic 4‐manifolds. We realize the Cauchy evolution operator as the sum of two invariantly defined oscillatory integrals—the positive and negative Dirac propagators—global in space and in time, with ...

Photoreactivity of Norrish Type Photoinitiators for 3D Laser Printing via First Principles Calculations

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Quantum mechanical calculations demonstrate that Norrish Type I photoinitiators generate radicals in 3D laser printing through two‐photon absorption and bond cleavage in the lowest triplet state. In contrast, Type II photoinitiators initiate polymerization via processes involving higher triplet states and a unique third‐order mechanism.
