Holomorphic field theories and higher algebra

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract Aimed at complex geometers and representation theorists, this survey explores higher dimensional analogs of the rich interplay between Riemann surfaces, Virasoro and Kac‐Moody Lie algebras, and conformal blocks. We introduce a panoply of examples from physics — field theories that are holomorphic in nature, such as holomorphic Chern‐Simons ...

A note on the cohomology of moduli spaces of local shtukas

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We study localized versions of spectral action of Fargues–Scholze, using methods from higher algebra. As our main motivation and application, we deduce a formula for the cohomology of moduli spaces of local shtukas under certain genericity assumptions, and discuss its relation with the Kottwitz conjecture.

Extensions of current groups on $S^3$ and the adjoint representations

open access: yesJournal of the Mathematical Society of Japan, 2014
Let Omega^3(SU(n)) be the Lie group of based mappings from S^3 to SU(n). We construct a Lie group extension of Omega^3(SU(n)) for n>2 by the abelian group of the affine dual space of SU(n)-connections on S^3. In this article we give several improvement of J.

Categorifying the $sl(2,C)$ Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov Connection via an Infinitesimal 2-Yang-Baxter Operator in the String Lie-2-Algebra

open access: yes, 2012
We construct a flat (and fake-flat) 2-connection in the configuration space of $n$ indistinguishable particles in the complex plane, which categorifies the $sl(2,C)$-Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov connection obtained from the adjoint representation of $sl(2,C)$.

Truncated Floquet–Bloch transform for computing the spectral properties of large finite systems of resonators

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 12, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract In subwavelength physics, a challenging problem is to characterise the spectral properties of finite systems of subwavelength resonators. In particular, it is important to identify localised modes as well as bandgaps and associated mobility edges.

Existence of solutions for one-dimensional wave equations with nonlocal conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2001
In this article we study an initial and boundary-value problem with a nonlocal integral condition for a one-dimensional wave equation. We prove existence and uniqueness of classical solution and find its Fourier representation. The basis used consists of

Is every product system concrete?

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 12, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract Is every product system of Hilbert spaces over a semigroup P$P$ concrete, that is, isomorphic to the product system of an E0$E_0$‐semigroup over P$P$? The answer is no if P$P$ is discrete, cancellative and does not embed in a group. However, we show that the answer is yes for a reasonable class of semigroups.

Electroweak symmetry breaking in Sp(6) gauge-Higgs unification model

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
We study the electroweak symmetry breaking in a five dimensional Sp(6) gauge-Higgs unification model where the weak mixing angle is predicted to be sin2⁡θW=1/4 at the compactification scale.
