Stability of N‐front and N‐back solutions in the Barkley model

open access: yesGAMM-Mitteilungen, Volume 48, Issue 1, March 2025.
ABSTRACT In this article, we establish for an intermediate Reynolds number domain the stability of N$$ N $$‐front and N$$ N $$‐back solutions for each N>1$$ N>1 $$ corresponding to traveling waves, in an experimentally validated model for the transition to turbulence in pipe flow proposed in [Barkley et al., Nature 526(7574):550‐553, 2015]. We base our

From $\mathcal{O}$-operators of 3-Dimensional 3-Lie algebras to 3-Pre-Lie algebras

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper, we explicitly determine all $\mathcal{O}$-operators with respect to the adjoint representation of 3-dimensional complex 3-Lie algebras. Furthermore, we provide the induced 3-Pre-Lie algebra structures and the corresponding solutions of the

Sympathetic Lie algebras and adjoint cohomology for Lie algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
We study sympathetic Lie algebras, namely perfect and complete Lie algebras. They arise among other things in the study of adjoint Lie algebra cohomology. This is motivated by a conjecture of Pirashvili, which says that a non-trivial finite-dimensional complex perfect Lie algebra is semisimple if and only if its adjoint cohomology vanishes.

Affine Non‐Reductive GIT and moduli of representations of quivers with multiplicities

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract We give an explicit approach to quotienting affine varieties by linear actions of linear algebraic groups with graded unipotent radical, using results from projective Non‐Reductive GIT. Our quotients come with explicit projective completions, whose boundaries we interpret in terms of the original action.

Extending the non-relativistic string AdS coset

open access: yes, 2022
Inspired by Lie algebra expansion, we consider an extension of the algebra introduced in arXiv:2203.07386 for the non-relativistic string coset action in AdS$_5\times$S$^5$. We show that the extended algebra admits a non-degenerate inner product which is

Automorphism group and ad-invariant metric on all six dimensional solvable real Lie algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
Using adjoint representation of Lie algebras, we calculate the automorphism group and ad-invariant metric on six dimensional solvable real Lie algebras with 5, 4 and 3 dimensional nilradicals.

Averaging multipliers on locally compact quantum groups

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract We study an averaging procedure for completely bounded multipliers on a locally compact quantum group with respect to a compact quantum subgroup. As a consequence we show that central approximation properties of discrete quantum groups are equivalent to the corresponding approximation properties of their Drinfeld doubles.

Categorifying the $sl(2,C)$ Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov Connection via an Infinitesimal 2-Yang-Baxter Operator in the String Lie-2-Algebra

open access: yes, 2012
We construct a flat (and fake-flat) 2-connection in the configuration space of $n$ indistinguishable particles in the complex plane, which categorifies the $sl(2,C)$-Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov connection obtained from the adjoint representation of $sl(2,C)$.

Rigidity of quantum algebras

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract Given an associative C$\mathbb {C}$‐algebra A$A$, we call A$A$ strongly rigid if for any pair of finite subgroups of its automorphism groups G,H$G, H$, such that AG≅AH$A^G\cong A^H$, then G$G$ and H$H$ must be isomorphic. In this paper, we show that a large class of filtered quantizations are strongly rigid.

Representations up to homotopy of Lie algebroids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We introduce and study the notion of representation up to homotopy of a Lie algebroid, paying special attention to examples. We use representations up to homotopy to define the adjoint representation of a Lie algebroid and show that the resulting ...
