Anaphylactoid Reactions to Oral Administration of Penicillin
Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, 1960PENICILLIN reactions may be immediate, delayed or accelerated. Those that are immediate occur within minutes of the administration of the agent; the others take place much later. The term "anaphylactoid reactions" refers only to severe immediate systemic reactions associated with hypotension and often a shocklike state.
