Intravenous versus subcutaneous drug administration. Which do patients prefer? A systematic review [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Intravenous (IV) drug delivery is commonly used for its rapid administration and immediate drug effect. Most studies compare IV to subcutaneous (SC) delivery in terms of safety and efficacy, but little is known about what patients prefer.

Fuzzy based load and energy aware multipath routing for mobile ad hoc networks [PDF]
Routing is a challenging task in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) due to their dynamic topology and lack of central administration. As a consequence of un-predictable topology changes of such networks, routing protocols employed need to accurately capture ...

Novel routes of opioid administration
In the early days of anaesthesia, opioids were traditionally given by the intramuscular and intravenous routes and other methods of administration were considered as novel. However, because of expanding interest in both acute and chronic pain over the past few decades, the anaesthetist routinely administers opioids via the oral, subcutaneous, rectal ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
