The Admiral nurses and Royal College of Nursing Gerontological Nursing Programme competencies project began in August 2000 and is a part-time, 20-month project funded by the Dementia Relief Trust. Admiral nurses are specialist dementia care nurses and the Dementia Relief Trust is a charity which supports their work.
