About the Admissible Predicates on Admissible Sets
Siberian Mathematical Journal, 2005Summary: We study the admissible predicates, i.e., the predicates having the property that their addition to the signature of an admissible set preserves the property `to be an admissible set.' We show that the family of these predicates is much wider than the family of \(\Delta\)-predicates.

Social Psychiatry, 1967
Previous studies have pointed towards social factors as important determinants of psychiatric hospitalization. To facilitate intensive study of these factors, a group assessment procedure was set up at the point of referral for admission to Dingleton Hospital, Scotland, which involved the patient, his family, pertinent community members and members of ...

The authors emphasize the importance of the admission process in the overall course of hospitalization. Reviewing the literature, demographic, social, symptom, interpersonal, organizational, and attitudinal factors all seem to influence both who becomes hospitalized and where.

Consensus-finding is a ubiquitous paradigm in both A.I. and everyday life. Recently, a computational approach to consensus-finding has been introduced in the standard clausal Boolean logic framework. It captures non-contradictory fragments of the information conveyed by different agents such that these fragments do not logically conflict with any of ...

The admission index in the dental school admissions process
Journal of Dental Education, 1982Preprofessional students' grade point averages (GPAs) and aptitude test scores have been moderately successful in predicting student performance in dental school. The authors attempted to improve the predictability of the school's admission process by combining several preprofessional academic averages and selected nongraded personal attributes into a ...

We consider clockable ordinals for Infinite Time Turing Machines (ITTMs), i.e., halting times of ITTMs on the empty input. It is well-known that, in contrast to the writable ordinals, the set of clockable ordinals has ‘gaps’. In this paper, we show several results on gaps, mainly related to the admissible ordinals they may properly contain.
