A Paradox in Admissibility

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 1977
Let $X_1, X_2$ be two independent variables with means $\theta_1, \theta_2$. Then two examples are given (one binomial, one normal) in which an estimator, depending only on $X_2$ is admissible for estimating $\theta_1$.

Centroid-Referenced Admissibility in Constrained Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper introduces a centroid-referenced admissibility framework for constrained dynamical systems. By expressing system evolution relative to an intrinsic centroid datum rather than an external coordinate origin, admissibility can be evaluated as ...

Strong admissibility and infinite argumentation frameworks [PDF]

open access: yes
Strong admissibility plays an important role in formal argumentation under the grounded semantics, especially when explaining the acceptance of an argument. However, strong admissibility has so far only been defined in the context of finite argumentation

Linking Age‐Diversity Practices and Company Ratings Over Time: Evidence From Employer Reviews and a Longitudinal Experiment

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As global populations age, organizations face increasing pressure to support an age‐diverse workforce. Although age‐diversity practices have been shown to yield individual benefits, their temporal impact on broader evaluations of the organization such as employees' company ratings remains underexplored.

On Matrix‐Based Cryptography Using Matrix Norm and Special Integer Sequences

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, a novel matrix‐based encryption approach based on the Affine Hill cipher is presented. The key matrix is constructed using the Narayana integer sequence, and the Frobenius norm of the key matrix is used as a scaling factor in the key construction.

Admissibility of evidence in criminal process

open access: yes, 2016
Bakalaura darbs ,,Pierādījumu pieļaujamība kriminālprocesā” sniedz ieskatu pierādījumu jēdzienā, saturā un pierādījumu pazīmēs. Izpēta pierādījumu pieļaujamību un ar to saistītās problēmas, absolūtās pierādījumu nepieļaujamības gadījumus, ierobežotās ...

Research Study Concerning the Structural Design of a Drone Using 3D Print Technology

open access: yesMacromolecular Symposia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The frame of a drone serves as support to hold in place all the key components of the drone, such as the battery, controller board, motors, and all the modules needed for different projects. In the industry, the drone frame is CNC machined from a block of material, or in some cases it is made of composite materials, carbon fiber, and ...

Shape Derivatives of the Eigenvalues of the de Rham Complex for Lipschitz Deformations and Variable Coefficients: Part II

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this second part of our series of papers, we develop an abstract framework suitable for de Rham complexes that depend on a parameter belonging to an arbitrary Banach space. Our primary focus is on spectral perturbation problems and the differentiability of eigenvalues with respect to perturbations of the involved parameters. As a byproduct,

Fractional Moment Theory for Anomalous Transport: A Unified Framework for Lévy Flights, Fractals, and Complex Dynamical Systems

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We develop a unified mathematical framework extending classical moment theory from discrete integer orders to a continuous spectrum of real orders f>0$$ f>0 $$, providing a systematic statistical characterization of complex systems exhibiting power‐law behavior.
