On MAP Estimates and Source Conditions for Drift Identification in SDEs

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT We consider the inverse problem of identifying the drift in an stochastic differential equation (SDE) from n$n$ observations of its solution at M+1$M+1$ distinct time points. We derive a corresponding maximum a posteriori (MAP) estimate, we prove differentiability properties as well as a so‐called tangential cone condition for the forward ...

Toward Quantum‐Inspired Traffic Engineering: Mathematical Models for Minimal‐Disturbance Network Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 6, June 2026.
Network monitoring is fundamental to effective traffic engineering (TE) in quantum networks and although nondestructive techniques such as weak measurement, quantum non‐demolition (QND) measurement, and protective measurement have been proposed, their roles in supporting TE have not been systematically examined. This paper proposes a unified analytical

Link Prediction with Swarms of Chiral Quantum Walks

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 6, June 2026.
Network reconstruction is a fundamental problem in network biology. We propose a link prediction method based on a swarm of chiral quantum walks. Random phase assignments in each walker's Hamiltonian generator produce complementary dynamics on the same topology.

Alternate Light Source (ALS) Detection Does Not Confirm Occult Bruises

open access: yesWIREs Forensic Science, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2026.
Visible light spectrum. ABSTRACT Almost all victims of assault and strangulation who seek medical care receive their initial medical care in the emergency department (ED), and many patients are referred to forensic nurses during or immediately after the ED evaluation.

Women's Off‐Farm Employment and Dietary Quality in Rural Africa

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Economics, Volume 77, Issue 2, Page 477-492, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Most households in rural Africa are involved in smallholder farming, but off‐farm employment is an important additional income source for many. Previous research has analysed links between off‐farm employment and well‐being, but mostly at the household level, not considering that household members may be affected differently.
