A comprehensive theoretical study of closed-form rigid-body modes of a free-free and translationally edge-restrained Euler-Bernoulli beam is presented. Accurate vibrational analysis of a free-free-free-free plate is not possible without the inclusion of ...

Singularities of admissible normal functions
In a recent paper, M. Green and P. Griffiths used R. Thomas' works on nodal hypersurfaces to establish the equivalence of the Hodge conjecture and the existence of certain singular admissible normal functions. Inspired by their work, we study normal functions using M. Saito's mixed Hodge modules and prove that the existence of singularities of the type

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

Application of a Generalized Isotropic Yield Criterion to Determining Limit Load Solutions for Highly Undermatched Welded Bars in Tension [PDF]
The limit load is an important input parameter of analytical flaw assessment procedures. The accuracy of limit load solutions affects the accuracy of these procedures. The present paper evaluates the influence of a class of the work functions involved in

Multimodal Learning with Rashomon Analysis for Battery Discharge Capacity Prediction
Multimodal fusion integrates composition, crystal‐structure, and radial‐distribution descriptors to predict battery discharge capacity. Rashomon analysis across near‐optimal models reveals that explanatory variation is structured rather than arbitrary, separating stable mechanistic signals from model‐contingent attributions and providing a more ...

Adaptive Macroscopic Ensemble Allocation for Robot Teams Monitoring Spatiotemporal Processes
We propose an online, environment feedback‐driven macroscopic ensemble approach to adapt robot team task allocation in spatiotemporal environments by controlling robot populations rather than assigning individual robots, all while maintaining robust team performance even for small teams. Our simulation and experimental results show better or comparable

In this paper, we introduce two new concepts, generalized α-η-FZ-contraction and modified α-η-FZ-contraction, which unify several types of contractions in the context of fuzzy metric spaces.

This paper proposes a novel control framework to ensure safety of a robotic swarm. A feedback optimization controller is capable of driving the swarm toward a target density while keeping risk‐zone exposure below a safety threshold. Theory and experiments show how safety is more effectively achieved for sparsely connected swarms.
