A dynamically actuated reconfigurable topographical surface (DARTS) integrates contact‐mediated bactericidal nanotopography with programmable mechanical actuation to actively disrupt bacterial biofilms. Dynamic surface reconfiguration enhances bacterial killing and suppresses implant‐associated infections in vivo, providing a new strategy for active ...

A field‐driven transition from chiral stripes to an achiral fan state is observed in a tetragonal magnet and linked to a temperature‐dependent rotation of the effective Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction axis. This interplay generates pronounced in‐plane anisotropy and provides a new route for controlling chiral spin textures in noncentrosymmetric ...

AbstractWe review studies from our laboratories using different molecular tools to characterize the Amerindian, European and African ancestry of Brazilians. Initially we used uniparental DNA markers to investigate the contribution of distinct Y chromosome and mitochondrial DNA lineages to present‐day populations.

Latin Americans arguably represent the largest recently admixed populations in the world. This reflects a history of massive settlement by immigrants (mostly Europeans and Africans) and their variable admixture with Natives, starting in 1492. This process resulted in the population of Latin America showing an extensive genetic and phenotypic diversity.

Stability of mitomycin admixtures
American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, 1985The stability of mitomycin in admixtures for continuous intravenous infusion was studied. Mitomycin was reconstituted and diluted to 50 micrograms/mL in polyvinyl chloride minibags containing 5% dextrose injection 50 mL or 0.9% sodium chloride injection 50 mL.

Different combinations of admixtures can produce concretes having high flow, good cohesion, and self-leveling properties; they can be placed underwater, can expand and induce compressive stresses or reduced shrinkage, and can be placed and cured at sub-zero temperatures.
