A Systems‐Level Approach to Address Risks and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence Systems

open access: yesSystems Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the world, from completely controlling routine or mundane tasks like text and image generation, to powering advanced algorithms that control critical systems. The recent advances in generative AI quickly overwhelmed multiple industries from education to finance as first adopters rushed (and ...

Cytogenotoxic Effects of Fluopyram in Allium cepa Root Cells Involving Microtubule Disruption

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fluopyram is a next‐generation fungicide widely used in agriculture; however, its persistence in soils and mobility toward aquatic systems have raised concerns regarding potential ecotoxicological risks. This study evaluated the cytogenotoxic effects of a commercial fluopyram‐based pesticide formulation on Allium cepa root meristem cells ...

Nanobody–chlorin e6 conjugate for Nectin‐4‐mediated tumor targeting and enhanced photodynamic therapy

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Nectin‐4 is frequently overexpressed in solid tumors, yet many PDT photosensitizers show poor water solubility and nonspecific uptake. A Nectin‐4‐targeted nanobody–chlorin e6 conjugate (NPC) improves aqueous solubility and selectively accumulates in Nectin‐4‐positive tumor cells.
