A Minimally Invasive Framework Reveals Region‐Specific Cerebrovascular Remodeling in Aging Using Intravital Functional Ultrasound Imaging and Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (fUS‐ULM)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐resolution intravital imaging platform combining functional ultrasound and localization microscopy enables longitudinal, minimally invasive assessment of cerebrovascular function in aging studies. The present investigation reveals aging‐related reductions in neurovascular coupling, arteriole‐to‐venule ratio and vascular density, introducing a ...

Family-based treatment at home in adolescents with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions: rationale and study design of a mixed methods trial

open access: yesBMC Psychiatry
Background The significant impact of eating disorders on adolescents necessitates the evaluation of current treatments. Family-based Treatment (FBT) is the standard treatment but has modest remission rates, highlighting the need for improvements ...

Millikelvin Intracellular Nanothermometry with Nanodiamonds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanothermometry in living cells is crucial for understanding heat diffusion and advancing cellular biology and drug discovery. Previous studies have reported controversial intracellular temperature variations. Using nanodiamond nanothermometry in macrophages, it is found that, in such experimental setting, apparent temperature changes are actually due ...

Hot‐Pressing Annealing‐Induced Light Utilization Enhancement and Crystallinity Optimization Enable High‐Performance Narrowband Ultraviolet Photodetectors for Real‐Time Ultraviolet Radiation Monitors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By utilizing a hot‐pressing (HP) annealing strategy, Cs3Cu2I5 films with larger grains vertically spanning the entire thickness are fabricated. Because HP annealing enhances light utilization and charge transport in Cs3Cu2I5/GaN heterojunction, the HP device achieves superior detection performance while maintaining narrowband photoresponse to UVA/UVB ...

Acetylation Regulates ACSL4 Degradation Through Chaperone‐Mediated Autophagy to Alleviate Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intervertebral disc degeneration is triggered by ACSL4 accumulation‐mediated ferroptosis of nucleus pulposus cells due to CMA dysfunction. KAT2B promotes ACSL4 degradation via CMA through acetylation. AAV‐mediated LAMP2A delivery or engineered exosomes rescue nucleus pulposus cell senescence and disc degeneration.

"Me and Mum" : New Zealand adolescent daughters' stories of their relationships with their mothers : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Philosophy in Education at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Adolescent daughters' perceptions of their relationship with their mothers were examined using a social constructionist approach, which identified two conflicting discourses regarding adolescence and the parent-adolescent relationship.
