Myxoid Neoplasms of the Adrenal Cortex

The myxoid variant of adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare neoplasm described previously in only two case reports. Because of the rarity of these lesions, the presence of myxoid changes in adrenal cortical neoplasms usually raises the possibility of malignancy.

The evaluation of adult females with testosterone producing neoplasms of the adrenal cortex.

Although uncommon, testosterone producing neoplasms of the ovary and the adrenal cortex occur periodically. Forty-seven instances involving the adrenal gland have been published since 1925; five, including the present patient, have occurred since 1981.
