Oncocytic Neoplasms of the Adrenal Gland [PDF]
Our study was aimed at review of the radiologic findings on oncocytic neoplasms to identify the features that differentiate these tumors from other adrenal neoplasms.Benign and malignant oncocytic neoplasms could not be differentiated on the basis of the CT and MRI criteria used for differentiating adrenal cortical adenoma from carcinoma.

Time-related changes in the incidences of spontaneous neoplasms in adrenals (medulla), mamma, liver, pituitary, and (endocrine) pancreas were assessed statistically in Wistar, Sprague-Dawley, and F344 rats employed by BASF, Germany and major European contract research organizations over the last 20 years.

No comprehensive series has evaluated the histologic features of pheochromocytoma to separate benign from malignant pheochromocytoma by histomorphologic parameters only. Fifty histologically malignant and 50 histologically benign pheochromocytomas of the adrenal gland were retrieved from the files of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.

Adrenal gland neoplasms are mostly benign. The differential diagnosis between adrenocortical adenoma and carcinoma relies on nine morphologic parameters (Weiss criteria) that are mostly subjective. Although rare, carcinomas represent an aggressive disease that require short time follow-up. For this reason, the diagnosis should be accurate. Neoplasms of

Fine‐needle aspiration cytology of spindle cell neoplasms of the adrenal gland
Diagnostic Cytopathology, 1992AbstractThree spindle cell neoplasms were encountered in a series of 46 FNA of the adrenal performed between 1984 and 1991. These neoplasms included a recurrent undifferentiated adrenal cortical carcinoma (ACC) with a predominant spindle cell pattern, a pheochromocytoma (PC), and a metastatic desmoplastic malignant melanoma (DMM), Cytologically, the ...

A Unique Dysembryonic Neoplasm of the Adrenal Gland Composed of Nephrogenic Rests in a Child
A primary neoplasm of the right adrenal gland in a 4-year-old boy was discovered after the patient developed bowel obstruction following an appendectomy. Until the histologic examination, the tumor was thought to be a neuroblastoma. However, the intra-adrenal tumor was composed of blastematous nodules, primitive tubules, and glomeruloid structures ...
