Myelolipoma of the adrenal gland

The American Journal of Surgery, 1981
We report the 14th case of myelolipoma of the adrenal gland. Recommendations for appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic methods are made. Myelolipoma of the adrenal gland is a rare non-functioning tumor composed of lipoid and hematopoietic elements. The most consistent complaint is abdominal pain caused by hemorrhage within the tumor.

Machine Learning for Adrenal Gland Segmentation and Classification of Normal and Adrenal Masses at CT.

Radiology, 2022
Background Adrenal masses are common, but radiology reporting and recommendations for management can be variable. Purpose To create a machine learning algorithm to segment adrenal glands on contrast-enhanced CT images and classify glands as normal or ...

Myelolipoma of the Adrenal Gland

Urologia Internationalis, 1993

The adrenal gland in pregnancy

The Irish Journal of Medical Science, 1956
(1) The physiology of the adrenal gland is briefly outlined, with special reference to pregnancy. (2) The clinical picture of acute adrenal insufficiency in pregnancy is described. (3) The hypothesis is put forward that fatalities from eclampsia, previously attributed to cardiac failure, are, in fact, due to adrenal ...

Adrenal Gland Scintigraphy

Seminars in Nuclear Medicine, 2006
There is no question that high-resolution imaging techniques have revolutionized the approach to diagnostic imaging. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging provide exquisite images of the adrenal glands and offer the best initial imaging approach in the evaluation of patients with suspected adrenal disease.

ADRENAL GLANDS AND MALIGNANCY

The Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, 1940
Abstract The interrelation between tumor growth, the anterior pituitary, and the adrenal glands is discussed. The histologic changes in the adrenals of chickens, rats, and mice, bearing tumor, have been studied. The weight of adrenal glands is increased in cancerous animals, particularly in chickens with Rous sarcoma.

Baroreceptors in the Adrenal Gland

Science, 1968
Afferent activity from dissected filaments of nerves to the adrenal gland was recorded. Firing rates of single fibers followed changes in systemic blood pressure. Chemically and mechanically induced changes in blood pressure were reflected by an appropriate directional change in unit activity.

Myelolipoma of adrenal gland

Urology, 1980
Myelolipoma of the adrenal gland is a rare, benign tumor of which only 17 clinical cases have been reported previously in the literature. We document 1 additional case and review the pathogenesis of the tumor, with emphasis on the theory of the tissue necrosis as the major stimulus of the myelolipomatous changes in the adrenals.

Perineurioma of the Adrenal Gland

Ultrastructural Pathology, 2009
The authors report the first case of perineurioma of the adrenal gland. The tumor was composed of elongated wavy spindle cells focally arranged in a fascicular pattern. It was positive for epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) and claudin-1, and was negative for S-100 protein and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP).

Lipoma of the adrenal gland

Pathology International, 1999
A rare case of a lipoma of the adrenal gland is reported with a review of the literature. The tumor was incidentally found at autopsy in a 50‐year‐old man who died from severe head trauma after a traffic injury. At autopsy, an oval‐shaped, soft yellow nodule measuring 1.1 cm in diameter was found in the right adrenal cortex.
