Effect of temperature‐responsive hydrogel on femoral and sciatic nerve blocks using bupivacaine in Beagle dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 9, Issue 1, Page 91-97, January 2023., 2023
Recent developed temperature‐responsive hydrogel, PF‐72®, was applied to extend the duration of regional anesthesia of the pelvic limb using bupivacaine. Significantly longer nerve block duration was confirmed when bupivacaine was used in combination with PF‐72® than it was used alone.

Comparative Analysis of Local Application of Titanium‐Platelet Rich Fibrin (T‐PRF) and Leukocyte‐Platelet Rich Fibrin (L‐PRF) in Bone Defect Healing: A Micro‐CT and Histopathological Study in Rabbit Models

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, EarlyView.
The study concludes that while both T‐PRF and L‐PRF aid in bone regeneration, L‐PRF shows superior efficacy. L‐PRF is recommended for bone defect healing due to its better performance in enhancing bone parameters. The density of the defect area (red circle) treated with L‐PRF extract demonstrates strong integration due to its close resemblance to ...

Histological and immunohistochemical soft‐tissue response to cylindrical and concave abutments: Multicenter randomized clinical trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background This study aimed to analyze the influence of concave and cylindrical abutments on peri‐implant soft tissue. Dimensions, collagen fiber orientation, and immunohistochemical data were assessed. Methods A multicenter, split‐mouth, double‐blind randomized clinical trial was conducted.

Comparison of four bone substitute types in sinus augmentation with perforated Schneiderian membrane: An experimental study

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Collagenated bovine bone mineral (CBBM) is used for maxillary sinus elevation‐based augmentation. We compared collagen degradation in cross‐linked (CL) CBBM and non‐cross‐linked (NCL) CBBM (in vitro) and preclinical results in CBBM‐CL, CBBM‐NCL, deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM), and DBBM with fibrin sealant grafts (in vivo ...

Fusion of the β2‐adrenergic receptor with either Gαs or βarrestin‐2 produces constitutive signaling by each pathway and induces gain‐of‐function in BEAS‐2B cells

open access: yesFASEB BioAdvances, Volume 4, Issue 12, Page 758-774, December 2022., 2022
Abstract The β2AR is a prototypical G protein‐coupled receptor (GPCR) known to orchestrate different cellular responses by the stimulation of specific signaling pathways. The best‐established signaling pathways for the β2AR are the canonical Gs pathway and the alternative β arrestin 2 (βarr2) pathway.
