Therapeutic Potential of Melatonin in Gastrointestinal Cancers: Molecular Mechanisms, Preclinical Evidence and Clinical Implications

open access: yesJournal of Pineal Research, Volume 78, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers remain a leading cause of global morbidity and mortality, necessitating novel therapeutic strategies. Melatonin (MEL), an indoleamine with pleiotropic biological activities, has emerged as a promising adjuvant in oncology due to its antiproliferative, proapoptotic, and antioxidant properties.

Vagus Nerve Stimulation in Autoimmune Conditions: A Systematic Review

open access: yesACR Open Rheumatology, Volume 7, Issue 12, December 2025.
Objective Systemic autoimmune conditions are characterized by increased inflammation and high disease burden. Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) is known to activate the cholinergic anti‐inflammatory pathway and can serve as a potential therapeutic modality for autoimmune conditions. This study aimed to conduct a preregistered systematic review to determine

Potentiating Cerebral Perfusion Normalizes Glymphatic Dynamics in Systemic Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 47, December 18, 2025.
LPS‐induced systemic inflammation increases glymphatic influx but delays cervical lymphatic drainage, accompanied by AQP4 depolarization and impaired glymphatic clearance. Enhancing cerebral blood flow via the inotropic agent levosimendan effectively restored AQP4 polarization, improving glymphatic flux and amyloid‐β clearance.

Decreased RYR2 Cluster Size and Abnormal SR Ca2+ Release Contribute to Arrhythmogenesis in TMEM43‐Related ARVC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 45, December 4, 2025.
The TMEM43 ‐ P386S mutation causes arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) by mislocalizing itself from nuclear envelope (NE) to cytoplasm, disrupting lamin B2 (a novel TMEM43 interactor) localization, NE integrity and chromatin accessibility, causing hyper ‐ phosphorylation and reduced expression/clustering of ryanodine receptor type 2 (

Integrated Phytochemical and Pharmacological Assessment of Uraria rufescens Leaves: Insights Into Its Antioxidant, Thrombolytic and CNS Activities

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 6, Issue 2, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Uraria rufescens is traditionally used in Bangladesh for fever and inflammation, yet its phyto‐pharmacological profile was not explored adequately. This investigation exerted the phytochemical composition and pharmacological activities of its leaves methanolic extractives (URME), focusing on in vitro antioxidant and thrombolytic, along with in
