Modelling Methane Adsorption Isotherms on Shale at Different Temperatures
Prediction of adsorption isotherms under different temperatures is significant to reserve estimation of shale gas reservoirs. Based on the Polanyi adsorption potential theory and Langmuir adsorption theory, a method was presented to predict adsorption ...

Adsorption isotherm on ferrites
Tlıe corrosion behaviour of the prepared Materials was studied by mcans of weight-loss techniquc in stagnant solution of (0.01 M) sulphuric acid in presence of thiourea as an inhibitor. Higher concentration of thiourea reduces the corrosion rate of thc samples and proteetion effi- cicncy of thiourea was found to be 80 % for ferrites Proteetion is ...

Models for Type VI Adsorption Isotherms from a Statistical Mechanical Formulation
In this study, two theoretical expressions for the Type VI isotherm in the IUPAC classification are presented. The formulation of these new expressions is based on a rigorous statistical mechanical description. The expressions allow for the estimation of

Modelling of Single-Gas Adsorption Isotherms
The present paper reviews and analyses different models that could be used to describe the adsorption equilibrium of pure gases. The adsorption equilibrium of hydrogen, nitrogen and methane is characterised and modelled. Several thermodynamic conceptions

Adsorption isotherms of charged nanoparticles [PDF]
We present theory and simulations which allow us to quantitatively calculate the amount of surface adsorption excess of charged nanoparticles onto a charged surface. The theory is very accurate for weakly charged nanoparticles and can be used at physiological concentrations of salt.

Cerofolini’s Model and the Fractal Adsorption Isotherms
The close link between the roughness of a surface and its adsorptive properties in Cerofolini’s model yields, with an adequate choice of adsorption energy, the well-known Dubinin-Radushkevich or Freundlich adsorption isotherms.

Protein Adsorbate Biohybrids and Sequential Hystallosteric Protein Adsorption
Protein adsorption on solid surfaces is characterized by multivalence, binding-unit overlap, sequential adsorption, surface allosterics, lateral interactions and pronounced adsorption-desorption hysteresis, giving rise to the sequential, hystallosteric ...
