The kinetics of field adsorption

Surface Science Letters, 1984
Abstract In an applied field of ∼ 1 V/A or higher, gas atoms and molecules near the electrode surface can be attracted to the surface and be field adsorbed there. Field adsorption can occur at a temperature much higher than that in ordinary physical adsorption.

Comments on the Adsorption Isotherm and Determination of Adsorption Kinetics

Langmuir, 1997
The equilibrium and dynamic surface tension data are widely utilized to investigate the information of intermolecular interactions between the adsorbed surfactant molecules, the adsorption kinetics, and the mass transfer coefficients. In this paper, a concept is explored:  using only a limited range of equilibrium surface tension data to determine the ...

Kinetics of Adsorption and Desorption

1989
The surface tension of water decreases when an amphiphile molecule, such as alcohol or protein, adsorbs at the air-water or oil-water interface. The adsorption is determined by the energy barriers that oppose both the removal of the polar hydroxyl group from the water phase and the entry of the hydrophobic alkyl group into the aqueous medium.
