Larvicidal, adulticidal and repellent effects of Kaempferia galanga.
The Southeast Asian journal of tropical medicine and public health, 2000Four fractions of Kaempferia galanga (hexane fraction, dichloromethane fraction 1, dichloromethane fraction 2 and methanolic fraction) were tested for larvicidal activity toward fourth instar Culex quinquefasciatus. The hexane fraction was found to exhibit the highest larvicidal effect with the LC50 of 42.33 ppm.

Efficacy of nitenpyram as a systemic flea adulticide in dogs and cats.
The Veterinary record, 2001In a clinical trial involving 123 cats and 88 dogs, the efficacy of tablets containing nitenpyram against natural flea infestations was investigated. The animals were selected from the routine cases of nine veterinary clinics in the UK and 143 were treated with the tablets and 68 control animals were treated with placebo tablets.
