Advanced Fuels and Oxidizers

1969
Guidelines for the search for advanced liquid fuels and oxidizers are developed from theoretical considerations of the reaction principle of rocket propulsion. Advanced oxidizers are based on oxygen and, increasingly, on fluorine. The potential of these elements; their blends; inter-compounds; and compounds with nitrogen, chlorine, noble gases and a ...

Oxidation of 1,3,5‐trichlorobenzene using advanced oxidation processes

Ozone: Science & Engineering, 1996
Abstract The oxidation of 1,3,5‐trichlorobenzene (TCB) by ozone, ozone/UV, ozone/H2O2 and ozone/UV/H2O2 was studied. All studies were conducted in a continuously‐flowing completely mixed reactor (CFCMR), operated at steady‐state conditions using a hydraulic retention time of 10 minutes.

Oxidation of Chlorinated Benzenes Using Advanced Oxidation Processes

Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Materials, 1996
ABSTRACT The oxidation of 1,2-dichlorobenzene (DCB), 1,3,5-trichlorobenzene (TCB) and pentanoic acid (PA) by ozone, ozone/UV, ozone/H2O2 and ozone/UV/H2O2 was studied. The greatest removal of TCB using ozone/H2O2 treatment was achieved using a H2O2 concentration of 60 μM.
