Species-specific transcriptional reprogramming during adventitious root initiation
Adventitious roots or shoot-borne roots transdifferentiate from cells close to vascular tissues after cell reprogramming, which is associated with increased transcriptional activity. Recently, Garg et al. provided a genome-wide landscape of transcriptional signatures during the early stages of adventitious root initiation in rice and showed that ...

[001]‐oriented Sb2Se3 film with improved crystallinity and adjusted composition is achieved via a new thermal treatment approach consisting of preliminary annealing of the Sb layer before its selenization. The findings of this work demonstrate enhanced charge carriers' transportation, a stable performance, and an improvement of H2 generation from ...

The first cryo‐EM visualization and quantification of oriented Photosystem I (PSI) on single‐layer graphene is reported. Domain‐specific covalent anchoring of PSI, with the reducing side of the biophotocatalyst toward graphene, promotes three‐fold higher anodic photocurrent generation compared to a randomly physisorbed counterpart. This approach allows

Small RNA Profile in Moso Bamboo Root and Leaf Obtained by High Definition Adapters [PDF]
Moso bamboo (Phyllostachy heterocycla cv. pubescens L.) is an economically important fast-growing tree. In order to gain better understanding of gene expression regulation in this important species we used next generation sequencing to profile small RNAs

The bZIP53–IAA4 module inhibits adventitious root development in Populus
Development of adventitious roots in poplar is negatively regulated by the bZIP53–IAA4 module, which is responsive to salt stress.

Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.

Drought Resistance Analysis of the North Sulawesi Local Rice Based on the Root Characters Nio Song Ai, Ludong Daniel Peter Mantilen [PDF]
Rice is one of the important staple foods in Indonesia with carbohydrate as its major component. Rice germplasm is so diverse in Indonesia including in North Sulawesi Province, which has 4 local rice cultivars, i.e Superwin, Ombong, Temo and Burungan ...

Anomalous Stiffening of a Conjugated Polymer During Electrochemical Oxidation
The electromechanical response of a thienothiophene‐based conjugated polymer with triethylene glycol side chains is investigated. Electrochemical nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy reveal a modest and reversible increase in elastic modulus at room temperature upon electrochemical oxidation.
