Fulvic acid and adventitious root formation

Soil Biology and Biochemistry, 1971
Abstract Root initiation was observed in 5-cm hypocotyl segments of beans after treatment with aqueous solutions (pH 6–7) of a soil fulvic acid and plant growth regulators. In most instances the effects were additive; although some synergism was detected with 3-indoleacetic acid and with 1-naphthaleneacetic acid, some results with 2,4 ...

Stimulation of Adventitious Root Formation by Fungal Metabolic Products

Nature, 1948
IN an attempt to elucidate the contradicting views concerning the nature and properties of Fusaria metabolic products responsible for cotton and tomato wilts, certain substances (stimulating for adventitious root formation) have been detected in the fungal filtrates.

Morphactin and Adventitious Root Formation in Pea Cuttings

Physiologia Plantarum, 1977
AbstractStock plants of pea (Pisum sativum L. cv. Alaska) were grown at different controlled levels of irradiance (4, 16 or 38 W m−2) for 11 days from sowing. Morphactin (CFM, methyl‐2‐chloro‐9‐hydroxy‐fluorene‐9‐carboxylate) was applied to the apex of the stock plants 3 days before cuttings were excised. The cuttings were rooted at 16 W m−2.

Inhibition of adventitious root development in apple rootstocks by cytokinin is based on its suppression of adventitious root primordia formation

Physiologia Plantarum, 2018
Cytokinin (CK) inhibits adventitious root (AR) formation in stem cuttings. Little is known, however, about the mechanism underlying the inhibitory effect. In this study, 2 mg l−1 of exogenous 6‐benzyl adenine (6‐BA) was administered to 3 and 7‐day‐old apple rootstocks ‘M.26’ cuttings (3 and 7 days 6‐BA) by transferring them from a rooting medium ...

Proteomic insights into adventitious root formation in Larix kaempferi

Journal of Proteomics
The adventitious root formaton (ARF) in excised plant parts is essential for the survival of isolated plant fragments. In this study, we explored the complex mechanisms of ARF in Larix kaempferi by conducting a comprehensive proteomic analysis across three distinct stages: the induction of adventitious root primordia (C1, 0-25 d), the formation of ...

FORMATION AND ROOTING OF ADVENTITIOUS SHOOTS IN HEVEA BRASILIENSIS

American Journal of Botany, 1956
YOUNG PLANTS often differ both morphologically and physiologically from older plants of the same species. For example, immature trees of various species often have more thorns, greater vigor, and a more erect habit than mature plants (Furr et al., 1947) and different leaf shapes (Stoutemeyer, 1937). Numerous photoperiod-sensitive species do not respond

Patterns of adventitious root formation in English ivy

Journal of Plant Growth Regulation, 1991
Adventitious root formation by debladed petiole cuttings of English ivy (Hedera helix L.) proceeds via a direct rooting pattern for the easy-to-root juvenile phase, while the difficult-to-root mature phase roots through an indirect rooting pattern.
