A methane–cGMP module positively influences adventitious rooting
Plant Cell Reports, 2023Endogenous cGMP operates downstream of CH4 control of adventitious rooting, following by the regulation in the expression of cell cycle regulatory and auxin signaling-related genes. Methane (CH4) is a natural product from plants and microorganisms. Although exogenously applied CH4 and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) are separately confirmed to be

Fulvic acid and adventitious root formation
Soil Biology and Biochemistry, 1971Abstract Root initiation was observed in 5-cm hypocotyl segments of beans after treatment with aqueous solutions (pH 6–7) of a soil fulvic acid and plant growth regulators. In most instances the effects were additive; although some synergism was detected with 3-indoleacetic acid and with 1-naphthaleneacetic acid, some results with 2,4 ...

BRANCHING PATTERN IN ONION ADVENTITIOUS ROOTS
American Journal of Botany, 1988The pattern of topographic distribution of lateral roots (LRs) along the adventitious root of Allium cepa L. was studied in relation to the adventitious root vascular system. In the onion LRs arise in vertical files opposite the protoxylem poles, thus forming protoxylem‐based ranks of LRs along the mother root.

Adventitious Root Development in Dicotyledons
The plant's root system is comprised of primary, lateral, and adventitious roots (ARs). Lateral roots emerge exclusively from existing roots, whereas ARs originate from stem or leaf-derived cells. The progression of adventitious root development is a natural part of a plant's growth, commonly observed in most monocotyledonous species where they ...Mishra, Priyanka +3 more

Adventitious Shoots on Saltcedar Roots
Botanical Gazette, 1966Saltcedar (Tamarix pentandra Pall.) roots, characterized by polyarch primary xylem, produced adventitious shoots that originated endogenously near the vascular cambium. Root cuttings, buried vertically and horizontally on a mist-bed, produced adventitious shoots at rates of 21% and 8 ...

Cryopreservation of Panax ginseng Adventitious Roots
Journal of Plant Biology, 2009We tested desiccation and/or vitrification procedures to cryopreserve the adventitious roots of Panax ginseng, the source of commercially produced ginsenosides. When only desiccation was applied, the post-freeze survival of 3- to 4-mm root tips was

2014
The root system of a plant is composed of the primary, lateral and adventitious roots (ARs). Lateral roots always develop from roots, whereas ARs form from stem or leaf‐derived cells. AR formation is part of the normal development of the plant and occurs naturally, like in most monocotyledonous for which they constitute the main root system or in many ...

Anatomical changes during adventitious root formation
1986Organization is one of the most characteristic traits of living organisms. It is especially conspicuous in the orderly growth that every organism undergoes and which produces the specific forms so characteristic of a particular species [1]. The evidence for biological organization is manifested in studies in which the normal processes of growth and ...

Adventitious roots in Kunzea triregensis (Myrtaceae)
Perspectives in BiodiversityAdventitious roots are reported for Kunzea triregensis de Lange, an apparent first for this species and the Aotearoa / New Zealand indigenous representatives of Kunzea Rchb. It is noted that the roots were observed in a cultivated tree of this Manawatawhi / Three Kings Islands endemic that had been raised from a cutting.
