Adventitious Root Formation in Tree Species [PDF]

open access: yesPlants, 2021
Adventitious root formation is a postembryonic organogenesis process induced by differentiated cells other than those specified to develop roots [...]

Strigolactones Suppress Adventitious Rooting in Arabidopsis and Pea       [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 2012
AbstractAdventitious root formation is essential for the propagation of many commercially important plant species and involves the formation of roots from nonroot tissues such as stems or leaves. Here, we demonstrate that the plant hormone strigolactone suppresses adventitious root formation in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) and pea (Pisum sativum).

Recent Advances in Adventitious Root Formation in Chestnut [PDF]

open access: yesPlants, 2020
The genus Castanea includes several tree species that are relevant because of their geographical extension and their multipurpose character, that includes nut and timber production. However, commercial exploitation of the trees is hindered by several factors, particularly by their limited regeneration ability.

proliferation of adventitious roots of Panax notoginseng and ginsenoside accumulation

open access: yes, 2020
Panax notoginseng is an important medicinal plant. In this datasets, we showed the effect of proliferation of P. notoginseng adventitious roots and their growth and accumulation of three ginsenosides (Rg1, Re and Rb1) under different culture conditions.

Faster response to water level increase facilitates Salix cavaleriei survival in Lake Erhai

open access: yesJournal of Freshwater Ecology, 2019
The roles that adventitious roots play in flooding tolerance have been well-studied in willows, while which of the maximum height of adventitious roots and the abundance of adventitious roots in willows is more important for their flooding tolerance is ...

Natural Variation in Adventitious Rooting in the Alpine Perennial Arabis alpina

open access: yesPlants, 2020
Arctic alpine species follow a mixed clonal-sexual reproductive strategy based on the environmental conditions at flowering. Here, we explored the natural variation for adventitious root formation among genotypes of the alpine perennial Arabis alpina ...

Inhibition of strigolactones promotes adventitious root formation [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Signaling & Behavior, 2012
Roots that form from non-root tissues (adventitious roots) are crucial for cutting propagation in the forestry and horticulture industries. Strigolactone has been demonstrated to be an important regulator of these roots in both Arabidopsis and pea using strigolactone deficient mutants and exogenous hormone applications. Strigolactones are produced from

Investigations on the function of primary roots in the mineral uptake

open access: yesNotulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca, 1967
The experiments have been carried out in the plant pots, nutrient solution, and field conditions P32. The Spring Marquis wheat and Proctor spring barley have been used as biological materials.

Transcriptional regulation of MdPIN3 and MdPIN10 by MdFLP during apple self-rooted stock adventitious root gravitropism

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2019
Background The close planting of dwarfing self-rooted rootstocks is currently a widely used method for apple production; however, self-rooted rootstocks are weak with shallow roots and poor grounding.
