Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Care and COVID 19: Lessons for liberals and neoliberals

open access: yesChild &Family Social Work, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Within the liberal political traditions, care is regarded as a private matter, a problem of ethics rather than justice. Social justice is framed as an issue of economics (re/distribution), culture (recognition) and/or politics (representation).

Defensive Dual Masking for Robust Adversarial Defense

open access: yesComputational Linguistics
Abstract Adversarial defenses for textual data have gained considerable attention in recent years due to the increasing vulnerability of Natural Language Processing (NLP) models to adversarial attacks. These attacks exploit subtle perturbations in input text to deceive models, posing significant challenges to model robustness and ...

Towards Adversarial Robustness for Multi-Mode Data through Metric Learning

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Adversarial attacks have become one of the most serious security issues in widely used deep neural networks. Even though real-world datasets usually have large intra-variations or multiple modes, most adversarial defense methods, such as adversarial ...

Ovarian Cancer Diagnosis and Chemoresistance Prediction Model Based on cfRNA Molecular Signature

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A deep learning model analyzes cfRNA profiles extracted from the blood of OVCA patients. This innovative approach distinguishes OVCA from healthy controls with high accuracy. Crucially, it reliably predicts patient response to chemotherapy (sensitive versus resistant subgroups).

Predicting Performance of Hall Effect Ion Source Using Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
This study introduces HallNN, a machine learning tool for predicting Hall effect ion source performance using a neural network ensemble trained on data generated from numerical simulations. HallNN provides faster and more accurate predictions than numerical methods and traditional scaling laws, making it valuable for designing and optimizing Hall ...

Playing in the Dark: Invisible Chess as a Laboratory for Strategic AI

open access: yesAI &Innovation, EarlyView.
This paper shows that strategic AI evaluated on perfect‐information benchmarks can be brittle in real adversarial settings. By using invisible chess as a benchmark for hidden state and deception, it argues for stricter testing, human oversight, and more cautious governance of high‐stakes AI systems.
