Adversarial Queueing Theory Revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We survey over a decade of work on a classical Queueing Theory problem; the long-term equilibrium of routing networks. However, we do so from the perspective of Adversarial Queueing Theory where no probabilistic assumptions about traffic patterns are made.

Adversarial queuing theory [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the ACM, 1996
We consider packet routing when packets are injected continuously into a network. We develop an adversarial theory of queuing aimed at addressing some of the restrictions inherent in probabilistic analysis and queuing theory based on time-invariant stochastic generation. We examine the stability of queuing networks and policies when the arrival process

A new queueing strategy for the Adversarial Queueing Theory

open access: yesCoRR, 2005
In the today's Internet and TCP/IP-networks, the queueing of packets is commonly implemented using the protocol FIFO (First In First Out). Unfortunately, FIFO performs poorly in the Adversarial Queueing Theory. Other queueing strategies are researched in this model and better results are performed by alternative queueing strategies, e.g.
