ERM Inhibition Confers Ferroptosis Resistance through ROS‐Induced NRF2 Signaling
ERM inhibition disrupts ERM‐actin interactions, elevating ROS and triggering KEAP1 degradation, which stabilizes and activates NRF2. Nuclear NRF2 induces cytoprotective genes, notably HMOX1, enhancing redox buffering and suppressing lipid peroxidation to resist erastin‐induced ferroptosis.

Candida Virulence Properties and Adverse Clinical Outcomes in Neonatal Candidiasis [PDF]
To determine whether premature infants with invasive Candida infection caused by strains with increased virulence properties have worse clinical outcomes than those infected with less virulent strains.Clinical isolates were studied from 2 populations of premature infants, those colonized with Candida spp (commensal; n = 27) and those with invasive ...

A super‐conductive ionic patch reprograms the post‐infarction microenvironment by enabling stable ionic migration and electrical signal transmission within damaged myocardium. The patch rapidly adheres to cardiac tissue, enhances conduction velocity, suppresses excitation‐contraction decoupling, and promotes structural and functional cardiac repair in ...

HMGB2–RAD21 Axis Promotes Fibro/Adipogenic Progenitor Proliferation and Regulates Fat Infiltration
This study constructed the first developmental atlas of embryonic skeletal muscle fibro/adipogenic progenitors (FAPs) and identified an HMGB2+ FAPs subpopulation that regulates FAP pool size and muscle homeostasis. HMGB2 directly targets the RAD21 promoter, and its knockout significantly reduces FAP numbers, thereby lowering the potential for ...

Community-based Approach to Intermittent Preventive Treatment for Malaria in Pregnancy in Kisumu, Kenya [PDF]
Malaria in pregnancy (MiP) is a significant contributor to maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality. In malaria-endemic countries, especially those in tropical areas of Africa where there is intense transmission of Plasmodium falciparum (P ...
