본 논문은 2010 한국정책학회 동계학술대회에서 발표한 원고를 수정 및 보완한 것임.본 논문은 정책문제를 둘러싼 옹호연합간의 갈등을 중재하고, 옹호연합들이 수용할 수 있는 합리적인 대안을 제시하는 역할을 담당하는 정책중개자의 유형에 대한 선행연구 검토를 통하여 정책중개자의 역할과 유형에 대한 새로운 분석을 시도하였다. 같은 상황 속에서도 정책중개자가 어떠한 특성을 가지는가에 따라 더욱 수용가능하며 합리적인 정책대안이 도출될 수 있다.
