Abstract Application of nitrogen (N) fertilizer in rice (Oryza sativa L.) has been increasing and sustaining yield; however, its inadvertent use has resulted in N‐induced pollution, as rice has the lowest nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) among cereals. To mitigate these effects, there is a need to assess the performance of rice germplasm for NUE.

Physiological Quality of Passiflora edulis Fruits and Seeds in Relation to Ripening Stages and Postharvest Storage of Fruits

Yellow fruits produce seeds with greater vigor, antioxidant activity, and enzymatic performance, while fruit firmness is associated with seed physiological quality. In addition, seeds from yellow fruits maintain high germination capacity after long‐term storage.
