Soil aeration and the emergence of larvae from cysts of the beet eelworm, Heterodera schachtii schm
Moisture content, pore size, depth and oxygen consumption in the soil, which influence soil aeration, have been studied in relation to larval emergence from cysts of the beet eelworm.

Optimising lung aeration at birth
Our current understanding of airway liquid clearance at birth comes predominantly from animal models, but emerging techniques may allow researchers to study the rate and uniformity of lung aeration at birth in human infants.

Donor Extended Blue TADF Dendrimer for High‐Performance Solution‐Processed OLEDs
A dendronized MR‐TADF emitter, DOBNA‐SpAc‐DCz, was designed to improve solubility, hole transport, and exciton dynamics for solution‐processed OLEDs. Incorporation of ter(tert‐butylcarbazole) dendrons decreases ΔEST and accelerates RISC, yielding short delayed lifetimes (∼2 µs).

Asking the 5 W's for designing next‐generation bioprocessing
Abstract Biotechnology is expanding beyond traditional, centralized fermentation and toward next‐generation bioprocessing paradigms that emphasize flexible deployment outside the laboratory with application‐specific performance. However, many bioprocesses fail to translate beyond proof‐of‐concept into industrially viable systems because early design ...

Abstract Background Ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) allows the evaluation of lungs that do not meet standard transplantation criteria. Current procedures do not permit the identification of regional functional deficits. We investigated the feasibility of assessing lobar gas exchange during EVLP in a swine model.

Gas-Liquid Mass Transfer Characteristics with Microbubble Aeration - I. Standard Stirred Tank
More knowledge has to be acquired on the gas-liquid mass transfer characteristics with microbubble aeration before an efficient bioreactor is designed. Experiments about this subject have been conducted in a stirred reactor.
