Aerial Photographs and Photo-Interpretation
South African Geographical Journal, 1961Abstract A comprehensive picture of the value of air photographs in geographic research was presented including types and general characteristics of air photos, and their practical utilization. The field of photo-interpretation is wide and from the geographical standpoint still largely unexploited.

Aerial photos are usually classified according to the inclination of the camera axis at the moment of exposure. Thus, photos are termed either verticals, low obliques, or high obliques. Verticals are taken with the optical axis of the camera in a vertical position (Fig.

Division dodging algorithm for aerial photo
2011 International Conference on Remote Sensing, Environment and Transportation Engineering, 2011A Division dodging algorithm introduced in this paper solves the problem of color inside of the aerial images, which improves the MASK dodging algorithm and takes use of the division of an image and its low frequency information. This algorithm changes not only the distribution of lightness but also the distribution of variance inside of images.

Aerial Triangulation Using Independent Photo Pairs
Journal of the Surveying and Mapping Division, 1965Three different methods of determining control points with second-order photogrammetric instruments have been examined. The practical uses of these methods are illustrated and analyzed. The procedure is given as well as the required mathematical theory, emphasizing the working equation as well as its derivations.
