An Intrinsically Conductive Cross‐Conjugated Polymer with a Quinhydrone‐Like Donor–Acceptor Charge‐Transfer Network

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
HOT‐DOT, an intrinsically conductive cross‐conjugated polymer, features a covalently integrated, quinhydrone‐like donor–acceptor network formed through spontaneous air oxidation. This built‐in architecture enables self‐doping, stable polarons, and efficient charge transport without dopants.

From Heat to Electrons: Bridging Heterogeneous Liquid‐Phase Thermal and Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Ethylene Glycol over Co3O4

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The aerobic liquid‐phase thermal oxidation of ethylene glycol and its electrocatalytic oxidation resulted in the same product distribution using mesostructured Co3O4. Ab initio molecular dynamics simulations reveal analogous surface intermediates requiring Co3+ centers and OH− species with O2 or the anodic potential regenerating the reduced active ...

Selective, Oxygen‐Tunable, and Metal‐Free Functionalization of Polyethylene Through Dual‐Mode Nitrosation and Carbonylation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A metal‐free nitrosation process enables direct C–H functionalization of polyethylene (PE) with high selectivity, producing either oxime‐ or carbonyl‐functionalized polymers. Using t‐BuONO under visible light or thermal conditions, the process operates in both lab‐scale and industrial settings.
