Aerodynamic Interference Between Stores

1992
Abstract : Five tasks were initiated to study the aerodynamic interference between stores and aircraft. Both viscous and inviscid calculations were made. Steady state interference calculations matched well with experimental results and with other computational results.

Study of aerodynamical interference for a wind turbine

International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, 2010
Abstract A two-dimensional interference model of upwind wind turbine, based on NREL Phase VI, was simulated by an available Navier–Stokes solver under parallel process. The simulation domain was divided into a stationary tower domain and a sliding blade domain with varying geometric factors, including blade chord to tower diameter ratio and tower ...

Studies in Transonic Aerodynamic Interference.

1977
Abstract : The work reported herein represents the first phase of a study of transonic aerodynamic interference problems as applicable to store-wing-body combinations without the pylon. The nonlifting and lifting transonic integral equations in the velocity components in the field of the flow were obtained.

Finned, multibody aerodynamic interference at transonic Mach numbers

Journal of Aircraft, 1988
A wind tunnel experiment involving single, double, and triple combinations of mutually interfering, generic, finned aircraft stores has been conducted. Each combination of stores was tested at Mach numbers from 0.60 to 1.20, at angles of attack from 0 to 20 deg for the single store, and from 0 to 10 deg for the double- and triplestore configurations ...

Aerodynamic interference between the cables of the suspension bridge hanger

Advances in Structural Engineering, 2019
The hangers of long-span suspension bridges are significantly prone to wind-induced vibrations due to their light mass, low frequency, and small structural damping.

Aerodynamic Interference of a Large and a Small Aircraft.

Journal of Aircraft, 2004
The influence of wake from a leading aircraft, Boeing 757, on a following aircraft, Cessna 750 Citation X, is investigated using the unsteady vortex lattice method. The effect of the wakes from both wings and each other is considered and the new position of the wakes from both aircraft calculated. As the midspan of the Cessna wing approaches the Boeing

Aerodynamic Interference for Hypersonic Missiles at Low Angle of Attack

Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1998
An Euler code is used to predict the e owe eld over a hypersonic missile and to determine the carryover factors KW(B), e n liftinthepresenceofthebody, and KB(W),liftproducedby thebody in thepresenceofthee ns. Themissile is assumed to have cruciform, delta e ns in the + orientation and an aspect ratio of 1.529.
