Crustal Structure Across the Okavango Rift, Botswana: The SEISORZ Wide‐Angle Seismic Experiment
Abstract The Okavango Rift Zone (ORZ) is an incipient continental rift in Botswana at the terminus of the Southwestern Branch of the East African Rift System. The lack of syn‐rift magmatism and tectonic processes overprinting pre‐rift structures provide an opportunity to investigate incipient‐stage rift processes and the role of pre‐existing structures

Comparison of Magnetic Anomalies of Lithospheric Origin Measured by Satellite and Airborne Magnetometers over Western Canada [PDF]
Crustal magnetic anomaly data from the OGO 2, 4 and 6 (Pogo) satellites are compared with upward-continued aeromagnetic data between 50 deg -85 deg N latitude and 220 deg - 260 deg E longitude. Agreement is good both in anomaly location and in amplitude,

Asymmetric continental deformation during South Atlantic rifting along southern Brazil and Namibia [PDF]
Plate restoration of South America and Africa to their pre-breakup position faces the problem of gaps and overlaps between the continents, an issue commonly solved with implementing intra-plate deformation zones within South America.

Levelling aeromagnetic survey data without the need for tie-lines [PDF]
A new methodology that levels airborne magnetic data without orthogonal tie-lines is presented in this study. The technique utilizes the low-wavenumber content of the flight-line data to construct a smooth representation of the regional field at a scale ...

Detailed aeromagnetic surveying in Minnesota
The Minnesota Geological Survey has initiated a detailed aeromagnetic survey over a five‐county block of northeastern Minnesota that includes the region east of 93°W and north of 46°N. The current survey is being conducted at a mean ground clearance of 150 m with a 400‐m line spacing, and it will include approximately 60,000 line miles of data. This ...
