Acoustic Metamaterials in Aeronautics
Metamaterials, man-made composites that are scaled smaller than the wavelength, have demonstrated a huge potential for application in acoustics, allowing the production of sub-wavelength acoustic absorbers, acoustic invisibility, perfect acoustic mirrors

Innovative Monitoring for Aeronautical Application Through Augmented Reality
The technologies grouped under the term Extended Reality (XR) are constantly evolving. Only fifty years ago, they were delegated to the science fiction strand and were not feasible except in the distant future; today, they are successfully used for ...

Layer‐Dependent Phonon Polaritons in hBN Resolved by Photo‐Induced Force Spectroscopy
Layer‐dependent phonon polariton resonances in hexagonal boron nitride are systematically investigated using photo‐induced force microscopy. The in‐plane resonance exhibits a blueshift, while the out‐of‐plane resonance shows a redshift with increasing thickness. These results establish layer number as a key parameter for tuning polaritonic responses in

Bioinspired passive flow routing mitigates thrombosis in cardiovascular devices by redirecting a small fraction of forward flow into stagnation‐prone regions. Inspired by avian alula and aircraft slat mechanisms, strategically placed routing channels restore washout around mechanical heart valves, reducing low‐shear exposure by four orders of magnitude
