The AMMA mulid network for aerosol characterization in West Africa
Three ground based portable low power consumption microlidars (MULID) have been built and deployed at three remote sites in Banizoumbou (Niger), Cinzana (Mali) and M'Bour (Senegal) in the framework of the African Monsoon Multidisciplinary Analyses (AMMA)

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is promoted by NETs that induce fibroblast activation. PEG‐PIm, a polymeric artificial DNase is reported that efficiently degrades NET‐DNA via phosphodiester bond hydrolysis. Inhalation of PEG‐PIm in a mouse PF model prevents fibroblast activation and fibrosis progression, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for NET ...

A simple method for estimation of coagulation efficiency in mixed aerosols [PDF]
Aerosols of KBr and AgNO3 were mixed, exposed to light in a glass tube and collected in the dark. About 15% of the collected material was reduced to silver upon development.

Retrieval of Volcanic and Man-Made Stratospheric Aerosols from Orbital Polarimetric Measurements [PDF]
Stratospheric aerosols that are caused by a major volcanic eruption can serve as a valuable test of global climate models, as well as severely complicate tropospheric-aerosol monitoring from space.
