Static and Dynamic Behavior of Novel Y‐Shaped Sandwich Beams Subjected to Compressive Loadings: Integration of Supervised Learning and Experimentation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the mechanical response of Y‐shaped core sandwich beams under compressive loading is investigated, using deep feed‐forward neural networks (DFNNs) for predictive modeling. The DFNN model accurately captures stress–strain behavior, influenced by design parameters and loading rates.

Chaotic Variations of AES Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chaos, Control, Modelling and Simulation, 2013
Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm is considered as a secured algorithm. Still, some security issues lie in the S-Box and the key used. In this paper, we have tried to give focus on the security of the key used. Here, the proposed modified algorithms for the AES have been simulated and tested with different chaotic variations such as 1-D ...

CALPHAD‐Guided Prediction and Interpretation of Phase Formation in Ta–Mo–Cr–Ti–Al Refractory High‐Entropy Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study designs Ta–Mo–Cr–Ti–Al refractory high‐entropy alloys with a disordered body‐centered‐cubic A2 crystal structure aiming for improved ductility, lower density, and oxidation resistance. Four alloy compositions are identified by thermodynamic calculations.

Performance comparison of RSA and AES to SMS messages compression using Huffman algorithm

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi dan Sistem Komputer, 2020
Improved security of short message services (SMS) can be obtained using cryptographic methods, both symmetric and asymmetric, but must remain efficient.

Adverse event enrichment tests using VAERS [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Vaccination safety is critical for individual and public health. Many existing methods have been used to conduct safety studies with the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) database. However, these methods frequently identify many adverse event (AE) signals and they are often hard to interpret in a biological context.

Structurally Colored Physically Unclonable Functions with Ultra‐Rich and Stable Encoding Capacity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
This study reports a design strategy for generating bright‐field resolvable physically unclonable functions with extremely rich encoding capacity coupled with outstanding thermal and chemical stability. The optical response emerges from thickness‐dependent structural color formation in ZnO features, which are fabricated by physical vapor deposition ...

Interactive Strength between C60 Thin Film and Si(001) and Its Influence on Nano-Scaled Tribology

open access: yesTribology Online, 2008
The influences of interactions between C60 thin films and Si substrates were investigated using atomic force microscopy (AFM). It was found that higher friction coefficient was obtained at the C60 domains formed on the H-terminated Si(001) substrate and ...

Sequential Pattern mining of Longitudinal Adverse Events After Left Ventricular Assist Device Implant [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) are an increasingly common therapy for patients with advanced heart failure. However, implantation of the LVAD increases the risk of stroke, infection, bleeding, and other serious adverse events (AEs). Most post-LVAD AEs studies have focused on individual AEs in isolation, neglecting the possible interrelation ...

Meiotic sex chromosome cohesion and autosomal synapsis are supported by Esco2.

open access: yes, 2020
In mitotic cells, establishment of sister chromatid cohesion requires acetylation of the cohesin subunit SMC3 (acSMC3) by ESCO1 and/or ESCO2. Meiotic cohesin plays additional but poorly understood roles in the formation of chromosome axial elements (AEs)
