Performance of a glucose AFC

Proceedings of the 2004 11th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2004. ICECS 2004., 2005
Room temperature measurements performed in an alkaline fuel cell (AFC) using glucose as fuel at different concentrations are reported. The open circuit voltage, as a function of initial glucose concentration, polarization curves and power density, as function of current density, were measured.

The crystal structure of Afc-containing peptides

Biopolymers, 2000
A systematic structural analysis of Afc (9-amino-fluorene-9-carboxylic acid) containing peptides is here reported. The crystal structures of four fully protected tripeptides containing the Afc residue in position 2: Z-X(1)-Afc(2)-Y(3)-OMe (peptide a: X = Y = Gly; peptide b: X = Aib, C(alpha, alpha)-dimethylglycine, Y = Gly; peptide c: X = Gly, Y = Aib;

AFC Tracking Algorithms

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1984
Summary: The automatic frequency control (AFC) loop is beginning to play an important role in digital data links. There is very little published literature which deals with AFC loop implementations and performance in noise (in contrast to the large body of literature dealing with phase- locked loops).

AFCS Integration Requirements

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1981
<div class="htmlview paragraph">The correct integration of the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS), into an aircraft will provide the best performance that a system can produce. Improper integration of the AFCS, along with poor installation practices, account for the majority of problems.</div> <div class="htmlview paragraph">The ...

AFC media magnetometry

IEEE International Digest of Technical Papers on Magnetics Conference, 2003
Summary form only given. The use of an anti-ferromagnetically coupled (AFC) structure has become a technique to stabilize conventional longitudinal media, which has the promises to extend the "superparamagnetic limit" of longitudinal media design. The AFC media structure tested consisted of a thick top magnetic layer, a Ru layer for anti-ferromagnetic ...

Theory of AFC Synchronization

Proceedings of the IRE, 1953
The general solution for the important design parameters of an automatic frequency and phase-control system is presented. These parameters include the transient response, frequency response and noise bandwidth of the system, as well as the hold-in range and pull-in range of synchronization.

CRUCIBLE AFC-77

Alloy Digest, 1968
Abstract Crucible AFC-77 is a precipitation-hardenable martensitic stainless steel which retains good mechanical properties at operating temperatures up to 1200 F. The alloy can be heat treated to high strength levels while exhibiting good oxidation and corrosion resistance.

Alkalische Brennstoffzelle (AFC)

2012

Developing AFC systems

ITSC 2001. 2001 IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8585), 2002
Automatic fee collection (AFC) systems are often developed as stand alone systems. This was perfectly suitable in the past but new developments in the field may change this situation. The advent of new charging schemes make it likely that new systems have to be developed as an integral part of larger ITS systems.
