Quotients of Affine Connection Control Systems [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the existence of a subclass of quotients of affine connection control systems, which preserve the mechanical structures. Both local and global sufficient and necessary conditions are given for the geodesically accessible affine connection control systems such that they can admit this subclass of quotients.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Geodesic Reduction via Frame Bundle Geometry
A manifold with an arbitrary affine connection is considered and the geodesic spray associated with the connection is studied in the presence of a Lie group action.

About differential equations of the curvature tensors of a fundamental group and affine connections
The principal bundle is considered, the base of which is an n-dimensional smooth manifold, and the typical fiber is an r-fold Lie group. Structure equations for the forms of the fundamental group and affine connections are given, each of which ...

The role of nonmetricity in metric-affine theories of gravity
The intriguing choice to treat alternative theories of gravity by means of the Palatini approach, namely elevating the affine connection to the role of independent variable, contains the seed of some interesting (usually under-explored) generalizations ...

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Umbilical hypersurfaces in affinely connected spaces [PDF]
In this paper we present a definition of an umbilical hypersurface in an m-dimensional space M of affine connection. Some properties of such hypersurfaces are found when M is assumed to be projectively flat. In general we follow the notation in [3] but adopt the positioning of indices used in [4]. Thus the usual summation convention holds.

QUASIHOMOGENEOUS ANALYTIC AFFINE CONNECTIONS ON SURFACES [PDF]
We classify torsion-free real-analytic affine connections on compact oriented real-analytic surfaces which are locally homogeneous on a nontrivial open set, without being locally homogeneous on all of the surface. In particular, we prove that such connections exist.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Scale Transformations in Metric-Affine Geometry
This article presents an exhaustive classification of metric-affine theories according to their scale symmetries. First it is clarified that there are three relevant definitions of a scale transformation.
