Projective translations and affine stereo calibration [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings. 1998 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (Cat. No.98CB36231), 2002
This paper investigates the structure of projective translations-rigid translations expressed as homographies in projective space. A seven parameter representation is proposed, which explicitly represents the geometric entities constraining and defining the translation. A practical algebraic method for estimating these parameters is developed.

Robust Diffusion Affine Projection Algorithm With Variable Step-Size Over Distributed Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The estimation performance of the standard diffusion affine projection algorithm may be degraded when the distributed network nodes are disturbed by impulsive noise. To overcome the limitation, a diffusion affine projection M-estimate (DAPM) algorithm is

Ultraquadrics associated to affine and projective automorphisms [PDF]

open access: yesApplicable Algebra in Engineering, Communication and Computing, 2014
The concept of ultraquadric has been introduced by the authors as a tool to algorithmically solve the problem of simplifying the coefficients of a given rational parametrization in K(α)(t1, . . . , tn) of an algebraic variety of arbitrary dimension over a field extension K(α).

Fast exact variable order affine projection algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Variable order affine projection algorithms have been recently presented to be used when not only the convergence speed of the algorithm has to be adjusted but also its computational cost and its final residual error. These kind of affine projection (AP)

Affine Projection Algorithm Based on Least Mean Fourth Algorithm for System Identification

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In the field of signal processing such as system identification, the affine projection algorithm (APA) is extensively implemented. However, running such algorithms in a non-Gaussian scenario may degrade its performance, since the second-order moment ...

MODULAR BUNDLE ADJUSTMENT FOR PHOTOGRAMMETRIC COMPUTATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
In this paper we investigate how the residuals in bundle adjustment can be split into a composition of simple functions. According to the chain rule, the Jacobian (linearisation) of the residual can be formed as a product of the Jacobians of the ...

On projective and affine hyperplanes

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A, 1980
AbstractWe study projective and affine factors in 2-coverings and associate canonically a projective space of order 2 and an affine space of order 3 to each Steiner triple system and an affine space of order 2 to each Steiner quadruple system.

Robust factorization for the affine camera: Analysis and comparison

open access: yes, 2002
Based on our previous work on the use of subspace distances for the outlier detection problem in video sequences under affine projection, this paper reports our further analysis of the problem and presents two algorithms for computing the reprojection ...

An affine projection algorithm with variable step-size and projection order [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
It is known that the performance of adaptive algorithms is constrained by their computational cost. Thus, affine projection adaptive algorithms achieve higher convergence speed when the projection order increases, which is at the expense of a higher ...

Analysis of Transient and Steady-State Behavior of a Multichannel Filtered-x Partial-Error Affine Projection Algorithm

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Audio, Speech, and Music Processing, 2007
The paper provides an analysis of the transient and the steady-state behavior of a filtered-x partial-error affine projection algorithm suitable for multichannel active noise control.
