Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Sparse Adaptive Channel Estimation Based on lp-Norm-Penalized Affine Projection Algorithm

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
We propose an lp-norm-penalized affine projection algorithm (LP-APA) for broadband multipath adaptive channel estimations. The proposed LP-APA is realized by incorporating an lp-norm into the cost function of the conventional affine projection algorithm (

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Improving Performance of Affine Projection–Like Algorithm Using Two Combination Methods

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics
The affine projection–like (APL) algorithm has garnered significant attention due to its low steady-state mean-square deviation and simplicity. However, its performance is limited by a fixed step-size, which forces a trade-off between fast convergence ...

Individual-Activation-Factor Memory Proportionate Affine Projection Algorithm With Evolving Regularization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
The individual-activation-factor memory proportionate affine projection algorithm (IAF-MPAPA) provides a good solution for echo cancelation. However, the IAF-MPAPA with fixed regularization factor requires a tradeoff between fast convergence rate and low

Pseudo affine projection sign algorithm for robust system identification

open access: yes, 2018
A pseudo affine projection sign algorithm is proposed in which the weighted taxicab norm is minimised as the cost function and an approximation technique is applied according to the Gauss-Seidel method.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Multichannel Filtered-X Error Coded Affine Projection-Like Algorithm with Evolving Order

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2017
Affine projection (AP) algorithms are commonly used to implement active noise control (ANC) systems because they provide fast convergence. However, their high computational complexity can restrict their use in certain practical applications.
