The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Hypergeometric τ Functions of the q-Painlevé Systems of Type (A_2+A_1)^{(1)}

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2010
We consider a q-Painlevé III equation and a q-Painlevé II equation arising from a birational representation of the affine Weyl group of type (A_2+A_1)^{(1)}. We study their hypergeometric solutions on the level of τ functions.

Geometric Theory of Heat from Souriau Lie Groups Thermodynamics and Koszul Hessian Geometry: Applications in Information Geometry for Exponential Families

open access: yesEntropy, 2016
We introduce the symplectic structure of information geometry based on Souriau’s Lie group thermodynamics model, with a covariant definition of Gibbs equilibrium via invariances through co-adjoint action of a group on its moment space, defining physical ...

Unitary highest weight modules of locally affine Lie algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
Locally affine Lie algebras are generalizations of affine Kac--Moody algebras with Cartan subalgebras of infinite rank whose root system is locally affine. In this note we study a class of representations of locally affine algebras generalizing integrable highest weight modules.

Unlocking the potential of tumor‐derived DNA in urine for cancer detection: methodological challenges and opportunities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

Ar-Quiver Approach to Affine Canonical Basis Elements [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
We describe the affine canonical basis elements in the case when the affine quiver has arbitrary orientation. This generalizes Lusztig's description.

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

A Compact Representation for 3D Animation Using Octrees and Affine Transformations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, 2010
This paper presents a new and compact 3D representation for nonrigid objects using the motion vectors between two consecutive frames. Our method relies on an Octree to recursively partition the object into smaller parts.
