Vertex representations of quantum affine algebras [PDF]
We construct vertex representations of quantum affine algebras of ADE type, which were first introduced in greater generality by Drinfeld and Jimbo. The limiting special case of our construction is the untwisted vertex representation of affine Lie algebras of Frenkel-Kac and Segal.

Representations of continuous piecewise affine functions
Continuous piecewise affine functions are widely used in computational mathematics. In one-dimensional case such functions are called broken lines. The article analyzes the analytical representations of broken lines in the forms accepted in the theory of polynomial splines as well as in the form of the difference of the maxima of two finite families of

Staggered and affine Kac modules over A1(1)
This work concerns the representation theory of the affine Lie algebra A1(1) at fractional level and its links to the representation theory of the Virasoro algebra.

Uncertainty Modeling and Robust Output Feedback Control of Nonlinear Discrete Systems: A Mathematical Programming Approach [PDF]
We present a mathematical programming approach to robust control of nonlinear systems with uncertain, possibly time-varying, parameters. The uncertain system is given by different local affine parameter dependent models in different parts of the state ...

McKay Centralizer Algebras [PDF]
For a finite subgroup G of the special unitary group SU2, we study the centralizer algebra Zk(G) = EndG(V⊗k) of G acting on the k-fold tensor product of its defining representation V = C2.

Since the ( $$\beta $$ β -deformed) Hurwitz Kontsevich model corresponds to the special case of affine Yangian of $${\mathfrak {gl}}(1)$$ gl ( 1 ) . In this paper, we construct two general cases of the $$\beta $$ β -deformed Hurwitz Kontsevich model.

Affine Anosov Representations and Proper Actions
Abstract We define the notion of affine Anosov representations of word hyperbolic groups into the affine group $\textsf {SO}^0(n+1,n)\ltimes {\mathbb {R}}^{2n+1}$. We then show that a representation $\rho $ of a word hyperbolic group is affine Anosov if and only if its linear part $\mathtt {L}_\rho $ is Anosov in $\textsf {SO}^0(n+1,n ...
