A Method for Determining the Affine Equivalence of Boolean Functions

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Determining the affine equivalence of Boolean functions has significant applications in circuit and cryptography. Previous methods for determining this require a large amount of computation when Boolean functions are bent functions or when the truth ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

MMAR-Net: A Multi-Stride and Multi-Resolution Affine Registration Network for CT Images

open access: yesBig Data Mining and Analytics
The evolution of lung lesions can be assessed by examining multiple CT screenings, which needs to align two CT images accurately. In this study, we propose a multi-stride and multi-resolution affine registration network, called MMAR-net, for 3D affine ...

Biorthogonal-Wavelet-Based Method for Numerical Solution of Volterra Integral Equations

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
Framelets theory has been well studied in many applications in image processing, data recovery and computational analysis due to the key properties of framelets such as sparse representation and accuracy in coefficients recovery in the area of numerical ...

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Hypergeometric τ Functions of the q-Painlevé Systems of Type (A_2+A_1)^{(1)}

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2010
We consider a q-Painlevé III equation and a q-Painlevé II equation arising from a birational representation of the affine Weyl group of type (A_2+A_1)^{(1)}. We study their hypergeometric solutions on the level of τ functions.

Symmetrizable quantum affine superalgebras and their representations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 1997
Aspects of the algebraic structure and representation theory of the quantum affine superalgebras with symmetrizable Cartan matrices are studied. The irreducible integrable highest weight representations are classified, and shown to be deformations of their classical counterparts.

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).
