Affine structure from line correspondences with uncalibrated affine cameras [PDF]
This paper presents a linear algorithm for recovering 3D affine shape and motion from line correspondences with uncalibrated affine cameras. The algorithm requires a minimum of seven line correspondences over three views. The key idea is the introduction of a one-dimensional projective camera. This converts 3D affine reconstruction of "line directions"

Affine structure and photometry
Proceedings CVPR IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 1996Motion of an observer relative to objects in a scene provides information about the structure of the scene. Changing patterns of shading due to motion relative to the light source provide information about surface structure, albedos, and light sources.

Enolate Structure and Electron Affinity
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2005Photodetachment cross sections for a series of cyclic enolates were measured using a continuous wave (CW) ion cyclotron resonance instrument to generate and detect the ions. We report electron affinities for the radicals corresponding to the removal of the extra electron from the following anions: 2-methylcyclopent-1-enolate, 3-methylcyclopent-1 ...

On the Affine Structure of Perceptual Space
Psychological Science, 2001Affine geometry is a generalization of Euclidean geometry in which distance can be scaled along parallel directions, though relative distances in different directions may be incommensurable. This article presents a new procedure for testing the intrinsic affine structure of a psychological space by having subjects perform bisection judgments over ...

A mobile observer samples sequences of narrow-field projections of configurations in ambient space. The so-called structure-from-motion problem is to infer the structure of these spatial configurations from the sequence of projections. For rigid transformations, a unique metrical reconstruction is known to be possible from three orthographic views of ...

On complex solvmanifolds and affine structures
Annali di Matematica Pura ed Applicata, 1985There is a conjecture of \textit{A. Silva} [Rend. Semin. Mat., Torino 1983, Special Issue, 172-192 (1984)] that for the class of compact complex manifolds being affine is equivalent to being a solvmanifold. In this paper the authors show the existence of affine structures on solvmanifolds which satisfy their so-called K-condition.
