High Charge Carrier Mobility in Non‐Conjugated 3D Covalent Organic Frameworks
A non‐conjugated 3D COF constructed via boronate ester linkages from tetraphenylene and pyrene‐based monomers is reported, which exhibits a high charge carrier mobility of 14 ± 1 cm2 V−1 s−1. ABSTRACT π‐Conjugation, π–π stacking, and long‐range order play a central role in determining charge transport efficiency in organic materials.

Affordances for robots: a brief survey [PDF]
In this paper, we consider the influence of Gibson's affordance theory on the design of robotic agents. Affordance theory (and the ecological approach to agent design in general) has in many cases contributed to the development of successful robotic ...

We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

Early spatiotemporal dynamics of navigational affordance coding in the dorsal visual cortex
Successful navigation requires extracting navigationally relevant signals from a dynamically changing visual environment. The process by which we identify navigable routes through the environment is termed navigational affordances.

Reconciling Function- and Affordance-Based Design
Traditional engineering design methods are based on Simon\u27s (1969) use of the concept function, and as such collectively suffer from both theoretical and practical shortcomings.
